Workout

Dear SW

I still don't understand the new site! I signed in today and clicked around...ehhhh...is anyone still on this blog site?! I quite enjoyed it but I stopped after my Thailand trip becasue no one was left on here...anyone still here? Spindig?

Ok well I need something to keep track of my work outs, rest days and other shizz. So I'm back even if there is no one left to read my stuff.

I like starting off with a rest day. Today is my first rest day in like 2 weeks or something. Lots of things to update about me here. I will just go on randomly.

Capoeira...geez I am totally not doing it anymore, not even pulling people aside and making them play with me for a couple of minutes! I feel bad but also my knees thank me fore this. Maybe I have to search for another group?

Silks...I've stopped doing this. When I was in Thailand I tried to keep up with my pull up training at least but then I would be so tired from the heat I gave up. Came back and holidays and stuff have been too busy to try to trade yoga for silks with my silks person. She is also busy doing other training.

Kali...I've taken a long break here. Partially to avoid evening gym crowdedness and also because they are occassionally training with fake guns and it freaks me the faaaaack out.

Muay Thai...I am officially allowed to spar now but getting in the head is a whole new thing to get used to. I don't love it but I am obsessed with learning something from it! That and also clinching.

Bikram...I've spent the last 3 weeks trying out Bikram. This is my last week. I hated it at first and now I don't hate it but I also don't love it. I much prefer Vinyasa, Hatha or even Hot Yoga.

Regular Yoga practice has been interrupted by my Bikram trial but I am still getting it in and also making a point to teach people regularly. One of my new years resolutions is to go more in on my Yoga teaching

good thing i still get notifications for this site!!! you have to join the party on sowo! i'm not quite loving it yet either, but people are def on there...just log in, go to goals...pick a few that look interesting. once you have goals that you can 'track', every time you update you can also blog! come over there! we miss you!

Hi e4e! I check back a couple times a week but this last week has been to-ta-lly crazy while I've been prepping to go back to SF! My flight today was cancelled so I'm enjoying ice storm limbo for a couple of days but have been sorely missing seriously working out. I would have loved to have tried your last 2 Fri yoga classes but I had conflicts in Brklyn.

Yah, the new site. Personally, I think its lackluster to do with the design! But whatever. I've only been doing challenges over there to keep with what I liked about this site. But you might like setting up your own goals at least as aside to your blog input. I think you must have goals and or a challenge in order to post, but after tracking is as significant as you'd like it to be. von Hottie is the new Charity writing fitness related news, gossip, cheerleading and troubleshooting for us. There definitely is more community there than here, so maybe give it a shot and follow some of us so you start to get a recognizable feed a la FB. My handle over there is kmcm although I probably write more about bicycling there than I do here!

I don't love the new site either but after taking a month off I realized that I sort of missed the folks that have migrated over there.... it isn't as much fun but it is an awesome group of folks. I really hate all the goal/counting everything (it to me reminds me of what I hated about the million minutes challenge) but I choose a simple goal and will see if I can get into the swing of it again.

Plus, I miss the old handle!
