Came Darn Close to Loosing My Consistency
I hadn't run since Thursday because I did trapeze Friday morning and then was out of town over the weekend. When my husband and I got back to town this evening we both went almost immediately to the gym. My run was really, really tough. I felt like I was dragging, and I was getting a cramp in my side, which when I was a kid in gym class happened to me all the time, but in the past 2 years or so it happens very rarely. I did make it through the run though without stopping, doing 4 miles in 41:40 and running 13:50 intervals. As tough as it was I am really really proud of myself for not quitting to walk. I know that if I hadn't toughed it out, going to the gym on Wednesday would have been just that much harder. Now, theoretically I do 13:55 intervals on Wednesday and it may be tough, but hopefully not super duper "I want to quit" hard. Sometimes consistency is harder than it should be.
