Workout
Sometimes my patterns suck.
When I run on the treadmill I make up a pattern for my run, often it is a 5 minute run, 1 minute sprint. Today I decided to run 1/2 mile then sprint for 1/4 mile for 3 miles. This was a terrible pattern. I knew after the first 1/4 that this was a bad choice but here is the thing, once I choose the pattern I have to finish it. So for 3.1 miles that is what I did and it was brutal. Then I hopped off ran over to do 100 situps. After the abs break, I ran over to finish off the 4 miles I had planned but ended up doing a mile and a 1/2 - staight through at - for me - a speedy pace. After that I ran downstairs to the weight room to do a push-up/ pull-up pattern of 10/10 for 3 sets.
It was an awesome workout. I decided today that I was going to try to reach 7 miles by my 37th birthday - which is in a little over a month. I totally believe that is possible.
Well possible with a little bit of work. I am game.
