LAZY YOGA vs. Drunk Yoga, There is a difference!

Lazy yoga is ironically more active than drunk yoga but less strenuous. You go to class hoping the instructor doesn't show. You do the bare minimum in poses and don't challenge yourself. Pray that a headstand, shoulder stand or the wheel are not in the practice today because you will be in child's pose for most of those parts.
Drunken yoga, you think you can do everything, you think you are doing everything but you're not. Your poses last longer and are more exaggerated because you're trying to delay the drunken fall and you're time is off. While everyone is going through a vinyasa, you're slowly going into reverse warrior then cartwheel your hands down to the floor that has lowered since you stood up then elegantly collapse on the ground but you think you're doing chaturanga dandasana and comically pull yourself up into a plank position with your butt in the air which is your drunk variation of a downward dog. The instructor has quit you thinking you're just a difficult student and others watch you to see what NOT to do.
Not that I have ever done yoga half assed or drunk. Tipsy maybe but it lasted for all 15 minutes when I sweated the alcohol out. Tonight's practice was lackluster given my lack of energy but I did try.

Thank goodness someone came along to explain this to me.

then there's horribly hung over yoga - my Sunday morning standby - somewhat similar to half-assed yoga but with bad head spins when sweeping up into standing poses and very very wobbly trees... :)

LOL!!! I once had a yoga class where the teacher announced halfway through "I can't believe I'm teaching this after three glasses of wine!" Fortunately, drunk-teacher yoga didn't look any different than regular yoga (at least not that day). :)
