Workout
residency is a workout
especially when your hospital has 8 floors and you avoid the elevators. i decided since i'm short on both time and energy that trips of four floors or less would generally involve the stairs. i think i'm about 75% compliant with this.
no worries, i hardly ever get to sit down.
also, CPR. majorly difficult workout, especially with a face mask on. even more so when you're on your 22nd hour of a 30 hour shift and it's 3 a.m. even MORE so when no one wants to switch out with you. i got mad and stopped doing compressions (actually, it was more that i couldn't breathe than the fact that i was mad).
not losing weight because i can't work out for real. i tried to do that today with my rower, but i was too exhausted. i lasted 10 min (2000 m)
i'll re-attempt hopefully tomorrow. i did manage to trx for 10 min last week too. how depressing.
i guess it's a good thing i'm not wasting money on a gym membership. even though it's down the street, i don't think i'd have the time or energy to go. maybe when i'm a second year. this q4 call schedule is brutal though. also, no weekends.
/bitchfest.
