Workout
To gym or not to gym
Yesterday, in some crazed fit of post-run euphoria, I wrote on an index card that I would go to the gym every day this week. This would be in addition to the 2.4-mile walk I do each morning, and again in the afternoon, to and from work. I also walked at lunch today. And I have boot camp in the morning, and I don't know if we will run, or do weights, or plyo, or something entirely new and terrifying. I always feel like I need to spend the day before boot camp "saving up" some glycogen or muscle soreness or just mental reserve to be able to survive boot camp. I am afraid to go to the gym this afternoon. But I am also afraid of what will happen if I break my index-card vow. I hold things written on index cards to be sacred.
What should I do? Go for the total ass-kicking or rest and recover?

I vote go to the gym, but do something relatively easy; some light cardio or maybe a yoga class. Restorative yoga would probably be perfect if your gym offers it.
