LIMPING BACK TO THE TRACK
Two weeks off running = very, very bad idea. I ran 2.5 miles at the track across the street from my digs, and it was almost as if I'd never run before. Pathetic. But, the important thing is that I am BACK TO IT. I'm on the lookout for a 5K to do while I'm here, to give me something to strive for.
I'm here for almost two months, and today I sat down and started working out a training program. It'll be somewhat dependent on my rehearsal and performance schedule, since the opera company owns my time and can call me without notice, but if I get up and get'er done first thing every morning it shouldn't be a problem.
I am committing to doing 100 crunches every day while I'm here. I'm keeping up my cardio and lifting routine (lifted today and did crunches). I'm debating running every day, too, even if it's just a few laps around the track, or bleacher climbs. I definitely need to add more cardio and burn some more calories. I wanna end this summer FIERCE!

limping!? Oh no! Those sound like great goals, but don't forget to take care of yourself.

Thanks, Liz, but limping was a figure of speech meant to show how freakin' pathetic I am. I'm not actually limping. Yet. ;)
