Sloooowly getting back in the saddle
Made it to yoga today, no problems at last with the ankle. Failed to log a ton of walking last weekend but it's in the MMM minutes.
Had a strange experience today though: I hated every minute of my yoga class but not for any discernable reason. I think it was because I was feeling so out of shape, so out of it, so not comfortable in my own skin because it had been something like five weeks since I'd been down on the mat. Depressing. But I kept going anyway, and I'm better for it.
Sigh.

I hate how depressing it can be to get back to your "normal" workout after an injury. It's like the right side of your brain knows it's going to take some time, but your left side is throwing a tantrum because you feel like you should be able to do more, and you know you shouldn't be mad, which just makes you angrier.. But good for you for getting back to it! They do say regular exercisers recover faster, so you're on the road!

Interesting. Thx. Recovery will DEFINITELY come, and you are totally better for pushing yourself. Maybe we have to work through all that anger, one way or another, and so on the mat it just comes out faster. Or something like that.

Thanks, Oliver. I am really looking forward to getting back to a more regular routine (and my usual long posts-- LOL)!
