Workout
No shoes, no problem!
So after work MSH258 and I hauled ass to Central Park to meet with Barefoot Benny for his bootcamp workout. When we finally found him he started us out with a run from the Bethesda Fountain to a part of the great lawn. At this point I ditched the shoes and got down to business. Benny was great starting out with a mild stretch and moved into balance exercises. We then did 2 sets of pullups, stepups, pushups, laps, bicycles, dips and prisoner squats. The session was very similar to the ones Aaron and I did in the beginning. I don't think Benny was used to having people that were in good shape like me and MSH258 so we had some extra time. He added in two sets of side planks and oblique squats and punches for the shoulders. We ended the session with high fives and then Benny showed us a good place to get some dinner.
If you want a bootcamp experience with a little TLC this is the man to see. I liked the fact that he paid attention to balance. I also like the fact that he could think on the fly when we finished a little early. Benny is just a great guy as well MSH258 and I agreed that it felt like we were working out with another friend. Great session.

I took barefoot bootcamp with Benny last week, and it was pretty amazing! I wrote it up on my blog as well: http://bunsofsteal.blogspot.com/2010/04/barefoot-bootcamp-with-benny.html
