Workout
yay, husband!
i have not tried to convince my husband to go for a run with me since the last half marathon i ran in...he also signed up so we could train together, but bailed on the plan after the 7 miler.
but yesterday, he wanted to go for a run. i am so incredibly excited about this! we put on our running clothes and headed to Sandy Bottom Nature Park, but we didn't get far before the trail became completely flooded. we tried a few other trails without luck. oh well, now we know.
i probably ended up running less than half a mile but i'm still logging it because 1) seriously, so pumped about ben wanting to workout again! and 2) i went on a 45 minute walk that morning.

Yay! I had an experience along these same lines on Sunday. My fiance is an avid runner (he's a Marine). His long runs on the weekends are anywhere from 7 to 18 miles. When he runs shorter distances he runs them fast.
I am a beginning runner, but have lately been working on upping both my speed and distance. My long runs are up to 7 miles now.
The Marine wants to go running together, but I am nervous about being able to keep up.
This past weekend we had a lot of errands to run, so we decided to jog between them. When we started out, I set the pace, and he was all "Is this how fast you run? Cause we could totally run together."
So psyched, both to have a new thing we can do together, and to have real evidence of my progress!

I would love it if I could get my husband to do ANY kind of exercise. Pacing is what I was going to ask about, prairieportia. Syrupandhoney, who sets the pace when you run with your husband?
