Workout

Mean Wendy.

I went to pilates for the 3rd time. Super crowded, and the only spot was in the front row. It was actually a little traumatic. I just can't do some of the moves and it's embarrassing.

AND there is a girl at my gym who looks exactly like my BFF, Wendy; except a really mean version of her. Same hair, facial structure & athletic build as Wendy, but add a scowl. She's probably perfectly lovely, but she is very serious. She was right behind me, and every time I looked in the mirror, Mean Wendy would be staring back at me.

It freaked me out.

Then I ran 2 miles on the treadmill.

Hilarious. I fear I might be a scowler at the gym too. Especially during later stages of spin class. Or maybe that's just agony. Regardless, nice work, and we must pray for Mean Wendy!

This is a funny post! I've def been the woman in front who can't do all the moves. So you are not alone. And I bet if you looked around you'd see everyone is on different levels, so it doesn't matter as long as do what you can do.

Sweetie, there are two old ladies in my Pilates class who kick my ass every time. They aren't even mean (though one of them is some sort of high muckety-muck in the world of Tai Chi). I am working out because when I am 75 years old, I want to BE the old lady kicking young whippersnappers' asses in Pilates class. ;)

Luckily, to the untrained eye, I think my end-of-class/I-can't-hold-this-for another-second scowl might look like a smile.

So instead of looking mean, I look like an insane person.

Today I did my first yoga class....another challenging experience, but I'm with you guys...I'm doing my best! Thanks for the support!
