Teary Run
March 20th: after checking in to our accomodations in Playa de Carmen, I went to turn my phone off and I noticed a text from my cousin Geoff. "call when you get this-IMPORTANT!" my stomach turned and my heart sank knowing this phone call was going to be an upsetting call. Geoff's wife, Denise, age 38 passed away from a brain aneurysm. I was shocked, she did everything right, a vision of health and a beautiful soul. Ugh. It just shook me up. Getting home in time wasn't going to happen and playa del Carmen and Tulum/Mayan Ruins were very calming places to grieve. I ran for 45-60 minutes every day I was there. The movement, the sunshine, the sceenery, and the sound of the ocean helped me balance my thoughts that seemed to zig zag like a ping pong ball in a serious tournement. I had so many questions and was overwhelmed by the shock and sadness. The first run out after hearing the news was tough and teary. Life is precious: learn, live, love.

I'm so, so sorry this happened. Life is already so short, and it's upsetting when its cut off far too early. Whatever you need, SW is here for you.
