Workout
wrangling horses & shower workouts
Today I went to the barn, ostensibly to ride, but ended up losing my riding motivation halfway through the commute. When I got there I turned Cookie loose in our arena while I talked to the horse trainer (who likes to hit on me, and is cute but a BUCKETFUL of crazy). I walked in after a few minutes to see if she would follow me around at liberty, but instead she nuzzled my pocket and nickered LOUDLY. As I was calling to the trainer, "Do you hear her?", she reared up behind me, dangerously close, presumably mad that I didn't have a treat. Then she went bucking away, also dangerously close. OH BOY WAS I MAD. I did what you do to a horse in that situation: make them work. She was loose but I chased her, making scary noises, and she went galloping around and around. I made her change direction again and again, which is what dominant horses do to others in the herd to make them submit. By the end of it I know she was spooked (GOOD) and I was pretty tired. But also glad I'm in good shape.
So, I didn't ride. I worked her a little more later on, in a more organized fashion. The little snot.
I'm behind on a lot of my reps, so I find myself doing crazy things to catch up. Tonight I did squats in the shower. I'm doing pushups whenever I can fit them in. Tomorrow I truly will go on the Great Quest To Find A Pullup Bar. Before it's too late.

Ahahaa! I did squats in the shower recently too! But then I decided it was a little dangerous bc it was slippy.

I too have done shower squats!! But I think it's less dangerous than horse wrangling :)
