Workout #9 - Pilates

I took a Pilates class tonight.  My mother has taken Pilates for a few years and LOVES it and has lost a ton of weight doing it.  So, in the spirit of Ritual & Rhythm, and in the spirit of being a good daughter, I went for it.  It was good.  I liked it.  It was DEFINITELY better than Zumba.  Still did not get much of a sweat going really.   It was interesting because parts of it were super easy but parts I really felt I worked my muscles in ways I didn't expect.  The only issue I had was that she used a lot of terminology I wasn't all that familiar with, and there must not have been very many new people, because it seemed like everyone else just automatically knew what to do.  I could see myself trying it again, but I think I'd have to be in the right mood (the I'm o.k. with not sweating while exercising mood).   

In summary:  1 hour pilates class, 20 squats, 20 push-ups, 30 sit-ups.
