SMUG AND HEALTHY --- IT'S OK TO HATE
It may not be much, but I did get up at the crack of dawn to do my cardio workout before getting on the plane. As a result, I don't feel nearly as sluggish as I would usually after traveling all day. Also picked up a healthy salad at DEEEEE-licious teriyaki sweet potato at Whole Foods before heading to the airport, and enjoyed myself smugly and healthfully while others were choking down their airline-issue dry bagged lettuce salads and fatty sodium-filled chicken wraps.
Hope it doesn't rain so much tomorrow that I can't do my run! I've got two runs-with-friends scheduled while I'm in NY, and it will be very disappointing if I must pass them up!

I once planned a trip so that I'd have a longer layover before the second leg of my journey, so that I could get in some cardio at the gym (arranged a guest pass from my gym in NY to one in LA), steam, sauna, refresh, and then get on the plane for the second part of my trip. It was the best thing I did, and started off my vacation feeling refreshed and relaxed.
