Workout

This one made me smile

Kettle Bells

Lately I have been trying to incorporate as many push ups and pull ups into my work outs as possible. I am trying to get into Navy Dive School and one of the reuqirements is 6 pull ups and 47 big boy push ups. I am talking breaking ninety degrees face, chest so low you are inches from touching the ground.

Well I thought of the grand idea of doing 25-30 push ups every thirty minutes. I at the time thought that this would be an excellent way of building up my ability to do push ups. Well, I told my trainer who knows literally everything their is to know about working out and he flipped out. So needless to say my work out yesterday sucked because it involved a clean and jerk which is a lot of shoulder. I couldn't even do that part of the work out due to me breaking down the muscle fibers in my shoulders.

So his advice to me was to do 100 push ups every other day attaching a band to the pull up bar. As far as pull ups go, the plan is to do 50 every other day.

What made me smirk is when I looked at the work out of the day this morning.

Weighted Pull Ups (35/20)

Overhead Lungs (115/75)

Then:

100 Push ups to finish (Time stops after completion of push ups).

He also put my picture up as part of the work out of the day. A lot of the people at the gym have work outs dedicated to them when they move. Whether it being them going off to SEAL training (BUD/s) Dive school Boot Camp etc...Hopefully,sometime at the end of this year I see this workout posted dedicated to me wishing me good luck on my six month stint into dive medical school.
