Wednesday: cardio
While The Boy got his second personal training session with my trainer, I did 30 minutes of intervals on the elliptical and 10 minutes on the arc trainer, followed by 10 minutes of stretching. And then another 10 minutes on the arc trainer at a very slow pace with the resistance cranked way up. Just to kill time till he got out.
Then we walked home, and he told me how he got all dizzy and had to ask the trainer to just focus on body weight exercises instead of cardio speed drills. He thought he'd had too much coffee because he got the shakes and felt weak and dizzy. Turns out the problem is that he didn't eat anything between lunch at 1:00 and his appointment at 7:00. Doh! Live and learn — pretty sure we've all been there.
Next time, The Boy plans on eating a Luna bar or some toast with almond butter before heading to the gym. Yes, he knows Luna bars are for women. He's just that comfortable with himself.
