Workout
walk it off . . .
I've been ridiculously busy for the last few days and have had to get creative about getting in some semblance of a workout. On Sunday, for example, I was out from 11am until 2am, and there was no way I was going to lug a bag stuffed with gym clothes, makeup and a flat iron along with my regular bag and the two tins of cupcakes I knew I'd be toting around for 14+ hours.
So, knowing that my chances to move myself were rather slim, I chose to walk rather than take the subway. I covered a little under two miles, which is not exactly on par with a major sweat session, but is decent enough to warrant posting it here. I was intentional, I made the most out of my situation and I managed to get in at least *some* physical activity over the course of the day. And what I'm learning is that for me, every day's workout doesn't have to be super intense—it's more important that I stay in the habit of moving on a regular basis than stress if a few busy days leave me without that sore & exhausted-in-a-good-way feeling that only comes from hitting it hard at the gym. That being said, tomorrow it's back to the tough stuff!
