PRETZEL IS A WORKOUT MOVE??!?!
I've been doing Core for a few months now. It's kicked my ass before for SURE. Plenty. Many times. But never has a move rocked my world more. And by "rocked my world," I mean my legs felt like ROCKS - 100 pound ROCKS.
Behold, THE PRETZEL. You're sitting down on the floor as if you're in yoga pigeon pose with both legs bent - one in front, one in back. And you're supposed to LIFT you back leg, bent, off the ground. MULTIPLE TIMES. Are you f'ing kidding me!?! No matter how hard I pulled, flexed, tightened, that sucker of a leg was NOT moving. No air. Gravity won. 100 reps later, they want me to do the other side?!
I literally walked out of that class unable to walk/run/sit/stand - holy crap. Even my jaw is sore from clenching. I guess I should focus more on clenching my ass instead.
Phew. I am still feeling the burn.

I didn't know that's what that was called!
I do great in pigeon, but try to lift the back leg and its hamstring lockdown. It's not just you, but it will get easier if you keep trying.
