Workout

back on the pole

It's been a month since my last pole dancing class at Crunch - I did take a good 10 minutes to run through my tricks and workouts while I was visiting SF and took a pilates class at the Crunch there and they had the poles up.  It did get painful real quick, especially when I miss my once a week commitment.

Went to John St. for the class with Christy N. today and boy is she looking awesome post-pregnancy.  I last saw this woman teaching class and it looked like she was about to pop out the baby at 7 months pregnant!  Unreal and amazing.

The great part was that all of us there were more on an intermediate level so we went through the usual basics real quick and started working on other advanced items...the toughie being the reverse climb.  I was able to get upside down, and sort of learned to hang from one leg and switch, but as soon as I turned to face the pole I just started to slip head first.  Gotta work on that. 

i'm also still working on my choppers and this other move where I try to do a sit up by hanging from my thighs.  That one is tempermental and works only sometimes.
