Workout

I should really be sleeping

3 days in a row of crock pot pot luck at work, yum

But I convinced myself if I post my workout now, I won't spend 1/3 of my work day on Social Workout, trying to be witty, and simultaneously trying not to get caught.

yeah right.

Long day, tired from computer use.  Sore back from standing & knitting while listening to Michael Pollan.  In need of easy, smooth exercise.

Delivered food to killerc, msh, and msh as twinklefee's acceptor of food.  While chatting with msh, who was on the treadmill (of course - I think that treadmill should have a name plate for her, like in church pews), I decided to take advantage of the open one next to her - von hottie style.  15 minutes in full cute outfit, and I got to teach msh the pageant wave (yes, I was in 2 pageants as a kid.  but I used the wave in parades). Then off, after kidnapping sass and forcing her to go to a non-Bikram studio for the first time ever (!).

Enter SW prize for Eat Sweat Blog!  Thank you for my Virayoga passes, and for giving me enough to take erikka and sasslettics along :)

An open class, which had some tough poses.  Only 6 people in class, which was good, cause I needed help!  Extremely nice classmate who is a regular teaches me how to do a handstand - from standing - without the wall! yay sandyliz, that's major progress.  But I have to admit, erikka's was better.

Then headstand, from crow (which I cannot hold - yet), and I got to spot sass by holding onto her hips and helping her pull up.  and then she wrapped her legs around me.  and then she gracefully fell down.

All in all, not too strenuous, but a lot of talk about finding purpose and resolutions and how to keep them.  And a lot of talk about the things you really want, and looking inside to get to the true desires.

At some point during savasana, I was contemplating this, and kept coming up with an image of a ball of light being washed by the sea, and it kept getting brighter with every wave.  sometimes I was holding it, sometimes it was just floating on its own.

oh, and I got a compliment, and it wasn't even for my pigeon pose.

and thanks erikka & sass, for listening to me afterwards, I feel like I'm becoming a broken record....

Geez, I know the feeling about wasting work days.  I was gonna spend my lunch hour napping in my car, but got so caught up writing my smobriety post and anxiously awaiting validation from all of you that I lost track of time and before you know it, my lunch hour was gone.  Boo.  Need sleep now.  'Night.  :oD

I don't know if I can ever go back to virayoga after dropping that nice, very gracious lady during tripod headstand. Oops!

Thanks so much for inviting me, it was really fun!

I think she was okay with it.  She still talked to us after, at least!

And I almost dropped her during handstand, if it makes you feel any better.  The only reason I didn't drop sass during headstand is that she wrapped her legs around me.

ruffin muffin! ha. OMG PAGEANT WAVE!!!

jealous jealous jealous jealous. Can you imagine what my ego would be like if I'd actually gotten to do all the things I wanted to do when I was 8? Actually I'd probs have like a normal career instead of spending my adulthood chasing all the dreams and pink accesories I wanted when I was 8.

like I didn't do that on purpose sass!

von, we should host our own pageant.  You can get all of it out in one fell swoop.  but I can tell you, they were not fun when I was 4.  or 13.  ESPECIALLY not 13.
