BodyJam and my DIY feat

First exercise since 8 December - embarassing! Enjoyed it though, although the walk there in the ice was precarious.

I'm starting my DIY feat for the next challenge now. I'm going to experiment with recording every penny I spend for the next month and a half (maybe longer!) and keeping track of whether they were essential spends, frivolous/pointless spends and so on.

I didn't spend anything on January 1, 2 or 3 as I barely left the house! So for today:

£89.90 - month's train ticket to work - essential!

budgeting, or rather documenting your spending is a fascinating habit - I started it before I started college 8 years ago and can't imagine not doing it...it's really bizarre to look at where your money goes and how much of it!  im not one to make benchmarks of how much i can or cannot spend, but recording it is a good way to look at one week and realize, oh crap, need to cut back on those unecessary snacks!

I think knowing I'm going to put it out there in public means I won't be spending 60p on a Yorkie bar or toast at work every day. Shame has it's benefits ;)
