wanna make it? make it happen!
Yes, that's my mantra. It has been for a good year and half now. It works well! I had not clue that weird chanting feat was posted until I saw it from my cell in a long car ride...so instead of napping I got coffee at a WaWa in PA and chanting "wanna make it...make it happen..." quite a lot of times! success...before I tried my push up feat I inhaled and said Sandy Liz told MSH to do them as fast as possible, so I tried this and ummm...it worked! five mins later I made myself do 15 more push ups just to make sure that I really knew what I push up was. So 35 fast push ups. Yeah.
Then I did my living room work out (bonus I had to vacuum the rug for this yeah cleaning...something I never do!)
15 mins abs (plank, side plank, bicycle, leg lifts, pilates teasers)
15 mins legs with ankle weights ( hip work, butt work, tina turner routine)
10 min shoulders and triceps (flying angles in seated against wall position, triceps dips on the newly cleaned off window sill surface...yay cleaning again)
10 min headstanding...including the FEAT!
Yes...I stood on the head!!! YAY. I said..."self, you are going to make this happen. do it" And first try i got to 30 secs my all time best. this was the first time i tried it after watching the video clip posted on SW. My elbows were bad form prior and focusing on lifting the legs in controlled intervals made a world of difference...i tried two more times...then I got it! I counted to 72- I'm guessing at the pace I counted it was one min. I can't look at a stop watch at the same time, so I had to count, which by the way, makes it harder and less zen.
I was so excited. I'm going to do this every day. It's my new favorite thing. Thanks SW for the headstand feat, without it, I would never have really tried this hard to do it, and I'm a big fan of the headstand.
I do have neck pain though...from the bad form headstands ealrier in the week. BAD form = pain in the neck for reals.
Two more feats to go....ugh...I wish the nyu pool was open tmrw...maybe it is....hmmm...may have to bike afterall.
I know I could do the jump rope if i spend a lil time trying tmrw.
I'll make it happen y'all. I got two feat working now, one for each foot.
