Last wimpy run
That's it. I'm sick of running 5 minute intervals (or less) and just making myself feel like garbage and throwing myself a pity party that I'm not doing more. Starting Monday I'm back on the horse. I will get my endurance back up to where it was. Within a week I will get back to running 10 minute intervals with regularity.
Workout
Last Pre Thanksgiving Workout
4 miles in 43 minutes. Yup, my endurance sucks. Couldn't run more than 7 minutes at a time. 2 weeks ago I could do 14 minutes at a time. I loved my honeymoon and wouldn't trade it for anything, but it seriously set my running ability back. Now I'm just hoping I don't have to start over from scratch.
Workout
A 10 minute interval
The most I've done in about 2 weeks. The rest of my intervals during this run were of the 5 or 4 minute variety, but that 10 minute interval gave me hope that my endurance wasn't totally shot. 4 miles in 42 minutes. Also 2 sets of 12 push ups and 2 sets of 22 tuck-hollows.
Workout
My Endurance is Declining
4 miles in 42 minutes. Couldn't run more than 5 minutes at a time. Yuck. Did 2 sets of 12 push ups and 2 sets of 22 sit ups.
Workout
Honeymoon Workout #4
I played golf. I stink at golf, but my husband loves it and I must say, it was hard to dislike my afternoon when surrounded by the most beautiful scenery I've ever seen in my life. I attempted all 18 holes. I actually finished 10 of them. The other 8 I either got frustrated and gave up or lost my ball in the water. Its the Bahamas.
Workout
Honeymoon Workout #3
Ran 5 miles on a possessed treadmill. At the change of every minute it decreased my speed by at least 1 mph. No idea why. It was the same treadmill I used a few days earlier. It was obnoxious. So did 5 miles in 57 minutes. Also 4 sets of 22 sit ups / crunches (88 total). Nowhere at the resort gym to do push-ups, so thats why I did extra sit-ups.
Workout
Honeymoon Workout #2
So this wasn't the most traditional of all workouts, but man was I sore. Floated on the lazy river for hours, but during that time I did I don't even know how much backstroking to try to catch up to my husband or to try not to get swept away in the current. Also a fair amount of doggie paddling was involved. Also walked about 30 minutes around the resort exploring.
Workout
Honeymoon Workout #1
Ran 5 miles in 54 min. I think the heat / humidity was affecting my breathing because I couldn't run more than 6 minutes at a time. So I made up for it by doing an extra mile. Walked about 30 minutes exploring the resort. Didn't do any push-ups but did 4 sets of 22 sit-ups: 88 total.

Trust Your Instructors
Very, very productive trapeze class this morning. The instructors started out by telling me one specific thing to fix with my swing. Then I fixed it. Then we moved on to the next single specific thing to work on. Then they decided my take-off from the board was abysmal.
Workout
Sore from yesterday, but not bad
Ran / Walked 4 miles in 41:37. Ran 14:05 intervals. My legs were sore from yesterday's run which was the first in a week, but I never felt like walking extra, so I'll take that as a win.

My first thought is running - but maybe the impact is too jarring. Also maybe elliptical? Just suggestions - I have no idea what will actually work. Take care!!!!!

Ice where it hurts. 20 minutes on at least 20 minutes off. Repeat repeatedly. I hope you feel better. Take it easy!!!!!!!

I don't deal well with change. This could be a bit rough for me. I'm giving it a shot though.

I have to be honest, and I feel a bit ignorant, but I have never heard of a soft tumbling class. What is involved with it? What tumbling is done that is different from regular classes? I'm very intrigued!!
As for the old lady joints - I feel your pain - and that is a lot of the reason why I love trapeze. I still get to flip around and do really cool things, but there is zero impact. You land in a giant net - no pressure to stick landings :-) I've had back problems most of my life, and gymnastics obviously didn't help that, but trapeze has never once bothered my back. Once you're body's recovered from the whole giving birth thing (I have no clue how long that takes, and I give you all the credit in the world for doing it) you should give trapeze if you have a location near you!!

My favorite was the new years challenge - I agree with what others have said about the flexibility and options in the challenge, and the balance between exercise requirements and food requirements for the challenge. I think I'm going to hold off on the sun salutation thing. :-/

In retrospect, the workout wasn't terrible, but thinks like cranky people and the kid running my foot over with his scooter were things I could have lived without that day.

my little bar that shows "everyone's progress" has ceased showing me the grand total number of minutes. Does anyone know where we stand? Its killing me not knowing how many minutes we all have left!!!!
