EXCITING TITLE!
So, before joining the challenge I had started to workout. I'm really liking this intense short training thing (could someone tell me the name?) So I've been working out just "weight" training very hard for 20 minutes. So far I've done approximately....

Too late to win it?
Seriously, it's lame but I was motivated to rejoin partially because of the prize: VENISON JERKY!!! (I'm a cook, so I'm UBERexcited) and mushroom guide and utility knife! oh yeah! Also, the annual fear of summer and spring...right. SO, back to the blogging. I'm in New Orleans now with plenty of parks, places to walk, and an extremely difficult bike to ride.

General Healthy Eating:Bread? and Swiming-again!
So, today we made homemade bread which-HOLD ON! I know that there are carbs in bread, BUT, we NEVER buy bread so that we don't end up eating so many preservatives, and we don't have it all week to eat-we just make a small loaf. I think that this counts as healthy cooking: let me know what you think. ANYWAY. Also, raced my husband back and forth across the pool about 6 times?

So, in hopes of becoming more focused and disciplined in at least the regularity of my workouts, I continue with day 2. This morning my husband and I went for a swim, and he is currently teaching me how to swim under water.

6/21 Makeup: General Healthy Eating
Had amazing breakfast. Cooked some raw oatmeal and added some milk and a whole fuji apple (shared with hubby) and cinnamon and a squeeze of honey. Really filling for the rest of the day!

6/22 Makeup: General Healthy Eating
My husband and I made French tomato, lentil soup. OMG, it was amazing! It had carrots, onions, leeks, celery, parsley, green lentils, tomatoes, homemade veggie broth, and fresh lemon squeezed on top. So hearty.

6/23 makeup: General Healthy Eating
Made mashed potatoes and leeks (very healthy-pureed leeks substituted for milk or cream in potatoes), and a whole baked chicken with rosemary, garlic, and lemon.

Wait! I was doing one of the feats!
I was working on a feat and didn't even know it! The General Healthy Eating!
So, today I made aqua fresca (watermelon juice with lime juice in it) and fresh corn and peas to go with extra lean grilled burgers, and a carrot bread for desert! I'll have to make up my last posts.

So, I've missed how many days now? 4? Damn. Ok, so I just printed out the Bingo card and am about to print out the feats. I will have to do one of them. Sorry for being so late to the party! Cramps and laziness won, but I'm finally waking up to the fight! See you all at the finish line!

Can't wait to start the next challenge. Went on a long walk yesterday-added another 1/3 than usual-quite sore today.

5/31 Just made it!
Went swimming today since yesterday's drive and the past trip in New Orleans and needed to rest. The pool was nice and swam, and did some kicking when I started to feel pooped out. I certainly feel that I slacked off this month, especially while having such a long vacation, but I LOVED every minute of it, and all of the challenges that I received.

amazing 60 min cardio! So sorry the day was crappy, and glad you could laugh it off and keep going! Keep up the great work! Also-I started at 11, but my work in the morning doesn't start until 10:30, so I got enough sleep and thanks!

Just remember that you know, that if you worked out one day, then you can workout today, and tomorrow. It's not any harder. Maybe at least do 10 crunches, and then see if you can do more, and you might find out you can get them in! Good luck and don't feel too bad! If you're going to have a day off, might as well enjoy it!

Don't forget to stretch! After you warm up stretch before and after your strength training and it'll really help! I hope you feel better!

Ok! I just subscribed to your blog to help me keep up to date on your workouts! Thanks so much for volunteering! OMG, what kind of puppy do you have? Good luck on your exam and as your accountability partner can you try and do leg lifts in your chair? It actually helps me stay up when I'm stuck in a chair. Good luck on your finals! Also, I just posted my workout.
