Argh, I'm so not in the state to come up with anything to write. I have a big exam in 20 minutes. That itself isn't the problem, but the surrounding fuss (some people are still trying to learn things...). But funk class was great and it made it itmpossible to stress about today.

Bonde do Tigraõ
Yesterday's Brazilian Mix: A lot like last week's class, but we also danced to some baile funk rhythms, I think a band called Bonde do Tigraõ was mentioned... That shaking, twisting and twirling is fun, but it almost would require a burning sunshine on a Rio de Janeiro street (not that I could base this on true experience) to really get in the mood.. :)

The Power of a Playlist
Today I went jogging again (jogging 40 min + walking 10 min + stretching 10 min). I wasn't exactly bursting energy coming home after a long school day (including one exam) and choir practice, but I had decided earlier that I'd go jogging. I decided to inspire myself with a freshly compiled playlist and it surely did the trick.

I got a good of reminder of that yesterday: I jogged for 45 minutes and walked 15+15 before and after, and it made me feel good :) I should do it more often...

55 minutes of SambaReggae and Samba (or something remotely resembling them).
I realised today that I can't make my Happy Dance class tomorrow so I have to come up with something else instead....

Today's workout: a 50 minute walk = a bit under 5 km (plus a 60 minute walk, ca 4 km).

Today I attended two 30 minute classes I've never attended before. The first 3o minutes were sacrificed to train the abs and back muscles and the next 30 minutes to streching. I came to notice that due to my recent dancing enthusiasm I've totally neglected all other kinds of workouts. Mostly because I believe that training should be fun, and not something you do out of sense of duty.

Thursday evening = funk class = one of week's highlights! And today's class was definitely worth the wait, even better! Our teacher (or funk master.. :)) is always extra positive – but not in an obnoxious way. He has this great ability to encourage everyone to show that they actually enjoy dancing and to boost everybody to their best performance.

Hellsinki Freezes Over
Today was the day for my weekly Happy Dance class. It wasn't the sweattiest workout, but I'd imagine it improves mobility and body control. I can usually tell the next day that I must have been doing something with muslces of my thighs, legs and midriff.
