went bowling tonight! definitely worked up a sweat, but it may have been all the booty shaking. all efforts MAY have been negated by the beers we drank, but it was super fun anyway.

happy two years!
today justin and i rode our bikes downtown and i went to the gym with jacob while he went to work for a few hours. it was a "push" day for lifting, then i ran for a half hour, then we all biked some more. saturday was a beautiful day, and i'm glad i got in a good workout and got to spend some time outdoors!

rode my bike to get breakfast with jacob, and then rode around while running errands for the rest of the morning. even though it wasn't much, i climbed some nasty hills. felt exceptionally weak and out of shape.
peanut noodles and protein powder
i was starving after the gym last night so i whipped up some homemade peanut sauce and served it over whole wheat noodles with cubed tofu, sliced scallions and green peppers. if i hadn't been feeling so kitchen-lazy, i would have tossed a bunch of edamame in as well. the results were delish and very filling!!
built for speed
got new running shoes yesterday!! super psyched, i've needed a new pair for a long time now. they're black and pink pumas, lightweight with cell technology, and they feel great. only tested them in the gym so far, can't wait to take them to the streets. <3

hybrid lift last night, killed my thighs with lunges, then went to a phenomenal spinning class. new-to-me instructor amanda gave us a sweet circuit workout that made the hour fly by. thought i was going to hurl halfway through class because i was working so hard! it was fantastic.

raced with the corporate team this morning. really really tough row, beautiful day, water was a little choppy, completely exhausted by the end of the race. crawled back to my car after, ate all the food in the city, and napped the rest of the afternoon away. awesome day.

did the row-down from TRRA to Heinz Field in preparation for the Head of the Ohio. solid row, but it poured on the brisk walk back.

went to the gym with jacob. did a "pull day" lift routine and ran 5 miles in 45 minutes. burned around 900 calories. good day.

the rowing machine is my personal worst inanimate enemy!! i did varsity collegiate rowing for four years and the ergs gave me hell. i'm so glad you find them fun, because someone out there needs to enjoy them! :)
