First Ever 5K
I have been planning to run this 5K today, and I failed to train quite as well as I would have liked. I decided that I would do my best just to jog the whole thing and to try not to walk at all. I was hopeful that I could finish it in 40-45 minutes. My time?

Today I did almost 3 miles, but only two of it was running. I took too many walking breaks, I think because of all the gin last night. I need to get it together, only 3 weeks until my first 5K!

Four Weeks to 5K
I am running a 5K on May 15, which makes the million minute month perfect timing. As a total non-runner, I am starting slow. Today: 2.25 miles. Not too shabby.

I went to my first pilates class in years, and really did not enjoy it. I think it was partially the small studio that was over crowded that turned me off, and I probably will not go back. But I am trying to vary my workout to keep things interesting so that I won't get bored.

70 minutes of kickboxing and abs. I have been doing so well and working out so much, and I am gaining weight. I would like to think it's muscle, but my clothes don't fit any differently, so I don't know...

I hate spin class
I never have liked spin class, but I don't know if I have ever really given it a fair shake. I will go, remember that it is terrible, and not go again for 6 weeks, and then try it again. While I suppose its possible for me to complete the 20 workouts portion of this challenge, let's be honest: it is not likely. I would basically have to work out every day for the remainder of the challenge. Which would be doable, albeit challenging, if I didn't plan to work 15 hours a day for the next two days. I had walks with the pups earlier on that I didn't count because I

Thanks! I am finding that it is definitely easier to implement a healthy lifestye when my husband is on board.
