Workout
Black Beans & Push Ups
I completed my 4th (I think) SW-e-AT challenge today. Had a black bean burrito for dinner and did some push ups while at the gym. I had to wait until the guy next to me on the mat left--he was all hardcore and I still get intimidated at the gym.
The details:
33 mins elliptical
10 mins stretching & mat work
Place:
New York Sports Club - Rockefeller Center
Workout
Final decaf day
Definitely excited to be back on caffeine tomorrow. Although it wasn't as bad as I was expecting. I got a minor headache on the third day, but felt fine otherwise. I think the hardest thing was giving up variety. I'll ne glad to drink milk and juice again too.
As for the workout, went tonight right after work. Here's the breakdown:
15 mins wave machine
33 mins elliptical
Place:
New York Sports Club - Rockefeller Center

Lazy Sunday
Today was a very very low-key workout for me. I tried a new toning DVD, but I wasn't feeling it at all. So I went for a walk instead. I walked from my apt on 121st street to the whole foods on 97th street. I wasn't speed walking but I was walking fast enough that it was mildly aerobic.
Place:
Outside
Workout
Mid morning elliptical
Quick post today. Went to the gym in Harlem after doing my laundry first thing. The stats:
33 mins elliptical
15 mins wave machine (the one that simulates rollerblading)
10 mins cool down & stretching
Still on track with all my monthlong challenges and just water and no caffeine. I did really want a glass of wine with dinner tonight, but I resisted.

Facing a weekend of water only
I made it Tuesday through today on just water so far. I've never been much of a sparkling water drinker, but it has saved me so far this week. If only to add a little variety.
Went to the gym after work tonight. Definitely needed it after a couple of days off, and a rough morning at work.
Here are the details:
33 mins elliptical
20 mins weights (free weights and machines)
Place:
New York Sports Club - Rockefeller Center
Workout
Pilates and a lack of caffeine
I worked out after work today. Even though I really really didn't want to. Here's the breakdown:
33 mins elliptical
55 mins pilates class, with a focus on legs today
Place:
New York Sports Club - Rockefeller Center
Workout
le cinquième jour
After a weekend of radio silence, here is my epic catch up post. Sadly it only contains one workout, because I was a bum. But what can I say, the weekends are my downfall.

Friday night workout=dedication
Second time at hot yoga. A little bit tougher this time. But I stuck it out and I feel pretty good. It was a loooong week at work, so good to finally be home for the weekend. I also stuck to the no fast food, no soda, no eating after 9pm (really hard!) and keeping my food log. See below:

starting it off right
This challenge is an amazing motivator. My alarm went off at 6 am today, and I promptly shut it off and rolled over back under the covers. Five minutes later I remember it's October 1st and that I have to get myself out of bed. So workout for the day:
33 mins elliptical
10 mins stretching

hot yoga? hells yeah!
So I took my first hot yoga class tonight at Yoga for the People on 27th street. As an admitted yoga-hater, how did I never know that hot yoga is SO GOOD! I'm seriously on a high after doing it and I'm going back on Friday for sure.
This was the perfect way to get pumped for eat.sweat.blog to start. I'm totally ready to go tomorrow.
Anyone wanna be my Friday night hot yoga date?

I'm voting Pax is okay, but Chipotle is not. I mean Chipotle is owned by McDonalds after all...
My fast food list basically bans: McDonalds/Wendy's/BK and the like, Subway (the only ban that's actually been a challenge), Chipotle and Dunkin Donuts save for coffee. I've allowed the lunch places near my office to remain fair game so that I have something to eat when I'm not brown-bagging.

I do believe that adding peanut (or plain if you prefer) M&M's to your diet counts as color.

Agreed! You'd think that being veggie means skinny-skinny, but hello cheese and baked goods! Game on, and good luck.

hi ladies! thanks for the warm welcome back!!
thankfully i don't think anyone will raise an eyebrow if i go for coffee and come back without one. it's totally acceptable to just need a walk every now and again.
are you two all prepped for the october extravaganza?

I'm completely intimidated by this list, but hopefully I can train to complete at least 20 of them.
One question, for the mile run and 1/2 mile swim etc, do those count toward the 50 workouts? Or do you have to workout 50 times on top of those?

argh!! that's the day I fly out for vacation, and I was really looking forward to this party. I guess I'll have to wait for the next BOWC after-party.

Huzzah! Congrats to everyone who is still forging onward. We're getting close to that half way mark--and planning our other two days off.
I have a question to add to the FAQ page for this...what if we notice an error on our attendance sheet? Who do we contact to get everything squared away?
Thanks for running the challenge!
