Local farmers market
YAY! The local farmers market has started up again on Sunday for the 09-10 Summer season. Not only is it a place to get yummy, local, sustainable foods but also a place to be seen and hang out. Enjoyed a delish decaf coffee from local company CPR and gossip with my friend Sigrun. Then spent some time deciding which of the veggie seedlings to buy and plant for the coming summer.

I decided to do my regular 7km run today, but I have to say it was a pretty poor effort. With a stitch on either side, I only ran about 3km and ended up walking the rest. Better than sitting on the couch but must try harder today!

Up in the Hills
The great thing about living in Blenheim (NZ) is that the great outdoors is never very far away. On Saturday after a pretty lazy morning, I went for a 40 minute walk in the Wither Hills farm park. 20 minutes up, 20 minutes down. Great for stretching out the hammies after yoga on Thursday! Not the longest walk in the world but hard work into the wind!

Joined a gym!
After about a month faffing around with paperwork I have finally joined the local "combined clubs" which means I get to use their gym. The crap amount of paperwork is balanced out with the cheapest rates around.
I went down with Tash for a post work "gym date" and did a solid 30 minutes running, rowing (argh!), abs, but, press ups. Need to work harder on the press ups.

Twice in one week
Yoga at Spring Creek for the second time this week. It's a long time since I've managed both classes. Definitely need to work on loosening hamstrings, strengthening arms and protecting lower back.

Back to Yoga!
Finally dragged my arse of the couch and headed back to yoga. Not only did it make me feel physically better (no more headache, no more stomach cramps!) it reminded me how much yoga can elevate your mood as well. On the drive home I found myself thinking that maybe I ought to apologise to the hubbie for being so grumpy recently... well, maybe I need a couple more yoga sessions before that!
