OMRG! My First Half-Marathon
(Warning: Long post with lots of exclamation marks ahead!)
Workout
Double Digits (Running)
Rochester, NY:
Canalway Trail/Erie Canal Heritage Trail for 10 miles, ~2 hours 16 mins
This is a new personal record for the longest distance I have ever run continuously, and my time increased by just one minute! My concern about it getting too dark out probably motivated me to run faster :).

Congratulations to you too, erikka! Sorry to hear about the injury... I hope you can run another one soon.

Thank you, ADRIANA. How cool that you were able to run it with your family members! I might enter the lottery again next year... As for your friend, I hope s/he was properly compensated for the idea. Close to the finish, there was someone cheering "Firefighters ahead," and it seemed to help a lot of the runners :).

Thanks, sassletics82! I think it was too cold to go through water even after the race, but the space blankets given by the organizers were very helpful.

That is funny! Maybe I should try it as a strategy next time I feel my run will be hard :)...

Thank you, Butwhatifido! I might have to try starting further North, so I can see more... How come you don't run along the Hudson anymore?

Thanks for the tip on the free classes. Is there a site where I can get details?

Hi! I haven't been going to the capoeira classes, and I miss it! Your comment was a good reminder. Maybe that will be my inspiration to take a class tomorrow... I saw that you completed all the workouts for the challenge. Congratulations!

Some of the videos in Hulu's Health and Fitness channel do not require equipment...

I am a beginner too! Yes, my group's (FICA) style is angola...

Fala, capoeirista! So, do you play regional or angola? I visited the link on your post, and it looks like regional, but then there is a reference to Mestre Pastinha, so I was not sure...

It was at 4.2 mph. You are right; I need to work on my feats. After I saw your comment, I completed the wheel pose. I could do a cartwheel next, but singing will have to wait a while :D...
