Rain rain and more rain
After initially deciding that i was not going to the gym in the story weather. Then my first of 2 classes was cancelled, and It was a good time to go to the gym.
Got to the gym ran around the track for 20 min (not sure as to how long it is, but its short)

Ran 30 min on the tredmill
did some ab work anddd..bought some new workout gere to get my motivation going

Running a Marathon...first timer
So I've been slightly slacking on my workouts..blah...BUT...I just joined Team In Training for the Lukemia & Lymphoma society to Run a Marathon for charity!!! June 6th, traveling to San Diego....this will be a challenge in itself.

Tooooo crowded.
Today I walked all the way to the gym...got there....and realized that it would have to be at least 45 minutes before I could even get on a tredmill or eliptical. Everyone is back from winter break and really trying out those new years resolutions....
I left and since it was nice out decided to do an extended walk. So I walked about 2 miles around the neighborhood.

Walked 1 mile as well as doing 40 minutes of yoga.

Today after my hip joints have been hurting for a few days, i decided to do some light running on the tredmill, they felt much better after taking a few days off..

Since I am a teacher, I make it a point to read any and every childrens/young adult book I can get my hands on. I want to know the books my students are reading, and be able to really reccomend things for them, and help them make deeper connections...
For this week I've gotten my hands on some "edgy" books, sometimes banned by school discricts. "Rainbow Boys" by Alex Sanchez, and "Speak" are two books that carry important messages, and sometimes kids can't get their hands on them due to the "edgy" nature of them (Gay/Lesbian Youth, and Rape). It's unfortunate that such books cannot be more readily available for those who are interested.
I read them both today...yes I'm a fast reader...and they were AMAZING...

I agree...the best thing to do right now is take care of yourself...and just think...you can have a banging body as the worst revenge ever.

I walk up 5 flights of stairs evey day to my apartment, and I have been walking up the stairs at Columbia instead of taking the elevator.
Do i mark this done now? or at the end of the challenge...hmm...I'll just do it now and continue on with it.
