CrossFit Upstate
Was upstate this weekend visiting family friends. Just so happens that these friends own a yoga/crossfit studio. Amazing. Crazy ass workout which was super fun. If no one has experienced crossfit i would recoommend you go drop into a class and check it out. Great workout/cardio.

some physical therapy offices sell special socks that keep your feet in a stretched position that you wear while you sleep, which are supposed to help. Also rolling something over the heel like a frozen water bottle will help.

Uh yeah. You know you wake up too early when you are getting coffee and a group of drunk Australians (nothing against Australians) comes into the shop and badgers the guy behind the counter for bacon and eggs. It was a bread factory.

rope push-ups: I called them rope for lack of a better word, but basically we hung olympic gym rings from a pull-up bar so they were about an inch from the ground, and then did push-ups. It makes them very challenging because you have to stabilize yourself all the way through the movement.

Most pools have blocks that you can put in between your legs so that you only use your arms to propel you through the water. This is a good upper body cardio workout. You did not mention riding the bike, how is that for you? Typically stationary bikes are low impact on knees, if the upright hurts, try the recombinant bike.
Another upper body piece of cardio equipment is a UBE (upper body ergometer) which looks like you are peddling a bicycle with your arms, again most gyms should have some variation of this.
I hope your knee feels better, if not go to a doctor!
