Finally back in the gym...
While I loved my experiences at Greenhouse Holistic, I was stolen away from a membership purchase there to the cult that is Equinox. My corporate discount and the variety that comes with a gym instead of a yoga studio sealed the deal. I still plan on making some trips to Greenhouse though.
Personal Chef 6-11
Finished up another feat, just haven't had a chance to get on here and post about it. Can't even remember all the recipes I made for these last meals, but turkey chili, pork and chive potstickers, tofu w/ french style green bean and arugula salad were included.

Workouts are failing, but three more feats completed. I moved this month so the Kitchen Cure was forced whether I wanted to or not. And, when I woke up Sunday morning I had completed a week of water only and no caffeine. It was a good challenge although I don't drink much caffeine and drink mostly water a lot of the time anyways. The water only part was a little counterproductive though.

Brown Bag 5 and H2O only update
Just finished brown bag 5 of leftover penne with spicy italian sausage and powering through day 4 of my water only week.

The 3 class try-out has me addicted
I used the last of my cheaper 3-class try-out card at Yoga last night. There plan worked and I'm 99% sure I'll be buying the monthly membership for unlimited classes. It's just such a relaxing and feel good workout.

Unfortunate Time Constraints
Made it down to the gym for a fast paced 1.25 mile run, and a set of chest presses and bicep curls. Then had to sprint back to the apartment so the old tenant could pick up a painting he left.
Glad to be getting in physical activity and getting back on the treadmill, but need to kick it up a notch.
Brown Bags 3 & 4
Brought leftover steak and potatoes yesterday, and today is leftover shrimp and black eyed peas.

Last night I made another delicious dinner, one of my favorites in fact. Garlicky Black-Pepper Shrimp with Black Eyed Peas. It's a Gourmet recipe (RIP) that thankfully still lives on at epicurious.com:

Logged 35 minutes on the recumbent bike while starting my next book club book. The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Clay. So good.

1st morning workout
Didn't have a lot of time, but got myself out of bed and down to the gym to run 1.25 miles before heading to work. Working towards more morning workouts.

100 yds to Yoga
Finally was feeling well enough/had the time to make it to a Yoga class this week. It was an amazing way to end my Thursday and left me energized for today. Also loved that the new Greenhouse Holistics studio is literally 100 yards from my apartment. AMAZING.

Moving Day Madness
I started off the challenge with an unstructured workout...Moving. We moved to another apartment in the same building so we didn't invest in many boxes. This means for around 6 hours we ran up and down flights of stairs, lugged boxes, bags and armfuls of randomness until it was all complete.

We buy Mrs. T's (I've tried other local ones here, but I just love these, plus it's the way mom made them.) I simply boil them while I sauté ham and onion in a pan. Then add in the cooked pierogies to get them crispy on the outside and violé it's dinner time. This time I added in baby spinach right at the end too.
