For kicks
I just got new shoes. I wanted something that helped me land midfoot when running, and apparently something to keep me from supinating (I have a pretty neutral gait, but not perfect). The New Balance 758s feel a little weird, but comfortable, and no ITB pain! wahoo!
I've noticed
1. I'm addicted to buying groceries. Every time I'm at the store, I think, well I don't need that now but I might, in a month! So afraid I'll forget some delicious thing to make. Meanwhile, there are items in my freezer and cabinets I might forget about for months. So I'm working on cleaning things out. There's healthy stuff in my kitchen -- oats, seeds, rice, seasonings.
Workout
Pump you up, break you down
Bodypump.
For the first time since August. At least. Ow.
I still have the side stitch that bothered me on last night's run. Wonder if I pulled something..?
Workout
Feelin' all triumphant and crap
All day today I was tired. Yeah, I was up until 1:30 last night watching LOST, but I fell asleep when I was tired (and no longer afraid that a polar bear or some guy named Ethan were going to jump out of my closet). I napped three times today and by mid afternoon had that sore feeling in my neck and behind my eyes, and my face felt flushed.
Workout
British Military Fitness, watching too much LOST
I had a friend in town this weekend who's been following the British Military Fitness Programme (http://www.guardian.co.uk/lifeandstyle/2008/jan/07/healthandwellbeing.fi...). I made a spreadsheet with the workouts -- just the running, I do other stuff for strength -- and plan to follow that as 3 or 4 of my runs for the rest of this month and all the way to January.
Workout
Spectatin'
My favorite thing about this running streak is not giving myself a decision. I'll likely pick the less healthy one, but every day this month, is it morning? Yes. Is it time for a run? Yes.
Workout
Rawr
Running streak is still on. Haven't been able to get back to previous distances since allergies/asthma/IT band problems in August, but learned today it IS in my head, as a friend pushed me and we were running a mile at a time. Slow (10 min mile or so), but hey. 4.5 miles in the can, now: bacon.
Workout
Mizzle run / streak?
I ran/walked around a neighborhood lake. The route is 4.5 miles. I love running in mizzle.
I'm considering trying a running streak. No, sorry, not going naked -- I mean getting out there every morning (or at least day) this month. If I can do it maybe I'll try another month. On the dreadmill by then...
Color theory
I'm working on adding color to my diet. This would be easier if I could find Christmas Oreos.

That was so much better than the actual magazine.

Nooo they do not look like they're going through music. I've got one, I've used the video camera, and it's obvious I'm trying to stand completely still and keep my fingers away from the lens.
I personally don't care that much if someone tried to record me. Yes it's creepy, but what are they going to get out of it unless they have a 'long pants and t-shirt' fetish?

I wrote a comment on my own blog entry and I want to delete it, not just edit it. How to?

There are just so many shades of brown, though, thank goodness.
