Workout
Aaaaand we're back
Okay so just as I thought I was getting over my cold it betrayed me like nobody's business! Last week is a forgettable one in the workout department so I'll FF to the weekend. Sunday I made a triumphant return to running! A moderatly paced 3 miles around the 'hood.
Workout
Long Run - Short Break
Saturday Workout- Ran 8 miles! That is the longest I've ever gone. Felt pretty good, I must say.
(I'm watching the Biggest Loser right now and that Tracy woman is a few wigs short of a drag show....yikesies!)
Sunday I was tied up recording with my bandy all day. I did a little yoga between takes but I didn't really get my heart rate up so I won't call it a workout.
Workout
I Did it for Slater
This morning I hopped on one of the elliptical machines at my gym and looked up at the TV screen. The tube that is usually occupied by Diane Sawyer was instead showing a different group of familiar faces... Saved by the Bell was on. Sweet! But it was the "College Years". Boo. And there was no sound or closed captioning. Double Boo.
Hooray for Squash!
I TOLD you I was going to put pumkin in everything (a few things)...
Recap of Feats from week #1:
Smoothiest -1
This was an odd combo of pumpkin, 0% greek yogurt, cinnamon, 1/2 a banana, and some vanilla protein powder. It actually worked. I added the protein because it was my lunch.
SWeAT-1
Trapezius Edamame (nice to meet you)
Brown Bagger- 5
I knew this one would be easy!
Workout
Awesome Feats and Many Treats
I totally killed it in the workout & feats department today! The eating part, not so much. I still feel good about today though! Just had a small case of the bottomless pit syndrome.
AM Workout:
Ran 5 miles outside. It was 50 degrees at 6 am and slightly dark. I think those are my favorite running conditions :)
PM Workout:
Workout
My Worst Inanimate Enemy
Tuesday's workout-
Thirty-five minutes on the treadmill. Combination of walking and running. I usually do some kind of sprint interval workout for at least 40 minutes but today I wasn't feeling it. Well, 35 minutes is better than no minutes at all!
Quandary -
Workout
Sunday Catch Up
Sunday was incredibly successful. I got in a 5 mile run around my neighborhood and recorded my fastest time yet (46m 30s)! Yay.
Workout
First is the Worst? I Disagree.
First workout of the challenge:
AM- 40 minutes of intervals on the treadmill at the gym (there may or may not have been a man with an impressive mullet a few machines down...)
PM- Band Practice! I'm totally counting this as a workout. Maybe next time I'll wear my HRM. Maybe.
Butternut, Acorn & Spaghetti
I LOVE the fall. I've dusted off my boot collection, dug out my tights and am looking forward to the cool weather in Chicago. Also, I'm excited to start making delicious soups, drink more tea and add pumpkin to everything!

I had some friends on the rowing team in high school and they always hated the ergs too! I tried it for a day, but my oh my, four years of varsity rowing - that's awesome!
