Workout
My abs. I hurt them.
I did a DVD today that I've owned forever- an intense ab workout.
Literally. I can't do anything without feeling that good burn deep in my core.
The DVD has 3 different levels, so I hope that by the end of the month I will have moved to level 3.
Or at least die trying. :)

Saturday needed a walk.
The weather right now is INSANE in Nashville. Blue skies all around. It's awesome.
So today I went on a 45 minute walk while listening to Mark Driscoll's sermon on Wealth in the book of Proverbs. It felt really victorious- to be dealing with two areas where I lack self-discipline (exercising & budget) at the same time. I am, if nothing else, an accomplished multi-tasker.

My Ten(ish) Feats
One of my friends (chained2freedom1) listed her 10 feats yesterday and I thought that was BRILLIANT.
So here are mine:
MONTH:
No Late Night Snacking (Harder than I thought it would be.)
No Drinking! (Not the one I'm most excited about- but I think it will be good for my body... and my wallet.)
Soda Free (I don't drink 'em anyways, so no worries here.)
Day 2: Late night snack. It almost got me.
So as I was watching TV last night, I was finishing up some writing work that was due by midnight, and I thought, "I should go grab some almonds"- cause the ole eat.sweat.blog has me thinking about my snacks carefully. I stood up, walked into the kitchen, and opened my cabinet.
Holding the almond container in my hand, I glanced at the microwave clock.
9:02pm.
Day 1: I don't fear you.
This is so my style.
A bunch of our friends, getting together, and trying to live healthy for a month. In community. And it's creative and new.
I'm digging it.
Happy day 1. Here's to hoping this month is just the beginning.

Marisa says that if you're hungry, you should drink something first cause you may just be thirsty.
I think she's kinda crazy, but maybe you are proving her right!! :)
I've done the same thing both nights so far- felt totally hungry RIGHT after 9pm.
