So hot, even in the gym!
I was sweating just walking down to the dance studio from the locker room last night. Oh, the AC was on, but it was still just so hot! I managed to dance through Zumba and tried to go as all out as I could during step...but I didn't have the energy to stay for Body Jam :( Still an hour and a half of working out isn't bad.

Starting the week right!
Although I got a lot of chores done this weekend, and fit in some good socializing and even me time, I didn't exercise so that by last night I felt blah. I got up at 6 this morning, made coffee, put on Wilco and went for a morning run. The weather was crisp and sunny and it felt really good! I got in 3 miles in 30 minutes.

We got out of work an hour early yesterday so I had some time to kill...I wondered through Anthropologie and tried some stuff on...but made no purchases! (consequently I felt like I *saved* money. Not true). I did Body Pump for an hour and because we got out a few minutes early, I decided to do Pilates also. So my muscles/core got an AWESOME workout yesterday!

I went to see Step Up 3D on Monday and so pretended I was a great dancer yesterday in Zumba and Body Jam. The humidity was bringing me down and even after 2.5 hours working out, plus a shower at the gym, my slacks and shoes were still wet from the torrential downpour we are experiencing. I got home late, cold, wet, tired and hungry. But it was still a good workout.

Took Friday off but didn't end up doing much other than being a bump on a log. Finally got out for a run around 2 pm. Managed 3 miles in 30 minutes but it was hot!! Should have motivated myself to go in the morning.

Looking for muscle definition...
...in time for being a bridesmaid! I went to Body Pump on Thursday night-- probably could have upped the weights on some things but have a hard time remembering what weight to use for which routine (except squats when I just add it all on!).

I had a kind of grumpy day yesterday. It started with me returning a zipcar and having a guy in a car (that I sort of cut off, but it was a confusing situation) FOLLOW me into a parking lot just so he could flip me off. Kind of scary actually.

I had plans on Saturday that started at noon...I realized that like my mom, I like to get my weekends started early otherwise I laze around. So I did some lazing, but then motivated to get out for a 30 minute run around the Pond before heading to the Boston Harbor Islands. My legs felt like they got a good workout coupled with the squats from earlier in the week!

Looking at the schedule yesterday at the gym, I decided I should try to make the 5:30 Body Pump class-- it means I kind of have to sneak out of work a few minutes early, but I had gotten a lot done yesterday so felt like it was okay. There were no more tickets to the class when I got there, but the instructor let me in anyway (perhaps a benefit of being a regular?).

I'm glad you'll give the bootcamp another chance. It's easy to get stuck in our comfort zone (I am in a comfort zone now!). I also like the sounds of your raw foods! I didn't do that last year but I kind of wanted to. Maybe I'll plan a raw food day too-- best to do it now while fruits and veggies are in season!

I thought for sure the hiking would burn tons of calories. Gotta be better than sitting at a desk, though, right? 2.0 is it's own thing, so I think you have to post separately over there.

Wow I read this and just remembered I had a dream about doing pushups last night! I dreamed that I could do like 20 and it wasn't that hard! Unlike real life. My subconscious must be telling me something...

I've been running for probably 10 years and my average is a 10 minute mile, unless I am in a race, when I seed myself at about 9:30. And it's not easy at all to run a whole mile without stopping! A 5K is a great goal and I agree with Liz about the couch to 5k. And running with your dog? Fantastic-- you are both getting exercise! Keep us updated on your progress!
