My Spin Instructor is Back with Good Music
Finally! A spin class with decent music! Yesterday I took my favorite spin class with Lauren at New York Sports. My heart rate was higher in the first song than it was in the entire class last week. Yay!
(And now, I'm caught up on blogging! I've been a little better about working out than I have been about blogging...)

Morning Run
Even though I lost my keys on my Sunday run, I knew that Monday was going to be a hectic day and that the only way I'd get a workout in would be if I went running early in the morning. I headed to McCarren Park. Ran around the track, took a break and did 50 lunges...

If you Found Keys on the Williamsburg Bridge...
My quick Sunday morning job turned into an hour and half of running and walking around as I hunted for my keys. I only realized they were missing after I had run over and back again on the Williamsburg Bridge. I retraced my steps. Went back over the bridge, but never found my keys... :(

Yoga-Instructor Makes the Class
On Saturday, I basically rearranged my entire schedule in order to take the jivamukti class at Greenhouse holistic, but there was a sub! So instead of my awesome intensive class with Heather, I had a less challenging class with an instructor who had use face each other while practicing. I really hated that!

Note to Spin Instructors: Please Play Good Music
Why do so many spin instructors play such bad music. I'm not looking for anything amazing. Just music that makes you want to move a little bit faster. Music that helps you get your heart rate up... Maybe something you can sing to. I've had so many bad music spin classes... Today it was SO hard to get my heart rate up at all. Man, I just wished for some better music...

Just Suck It Up and Hit the Gym
An hour before my favorite workout--kickboxing, I got a text from my gym buddy saying that our instructor wouldn't be at class tonight. She wasn't going to the gym. For a minute, I thought about skipping too. But then I decided that I didn't want today to be my free day.

Descisions: Spin or Yoga
Today I went for yoga with Heather at Greenhouse Holistic. Heather teaches Jivamukti Yoga. I love it. I love the fast pace. I still have yet to try ashtanga, but I'm loving the sweat inducing jivamukti! So two weeks down and I've done yoga twice a week and loving it! Yay!

Weights and 100 lunges!!!
I got to the gym early this evening so made use of the open studio room. I did nearly 100 lunges, jumping jacks, push-ups... just cranked the ipod and worked out! I finished with a 20 minute interval run! Great!

Jivamukti Yoga--I don't know how to say it, but I did it!
Jivamukti=lots of sweat! Today I took a 10:30am class at Greenhouse Holistic. It was tough! I love Heather's classes. She has music playing the whole time and is totally upbeat and great. I was a little intimidated to take this class, but I had taken a community class with Heather on Tuesday so I was prepared for the massive amount of sweat. Speaking of massive sweat...

Getting Back Into It
Yesterday I wrote that I was having trouble keeping motivated after finishing the April challenge. When I realized today that only 47 people finished the challenge, I felt pumped up to be a part that group. I wasn't able to work out at lunch today, so I had to hit the gym after work. I did the Body for Life arm weights routine, and worked in 100 lunges, and 40 pushups.

Having Trouble Staying Motivated
I did the April workout and I feel like I"m having trouble keeping it going. Today was a BUSY day at work and I couldn't squeeze my lunchtime workout in. After work, I just wanted to go home. I forced myself to do some arm weights while watching TV, but it certainly wasn't inspired...

I'm trying to find a decent juicer, but this seems a little much. Would love to hear some recommendations on other juicers that are a little less expensive...

It's the New York Sports Club at Madison and 36th Street. The instructor's name is Andrew. The class is Wednesday night at 5:45. Come early though 'cause it's PACKED!
