MSH258 and I decided to workout together today on my break at 2.  Since she has recently fallen in love with circuits I wrote up a circuit that would help get her to her pull up goal.  Well that was before I found out they were doing a Kangoo demo at 3.  I quickly shot her an text and changed times.  Mohawk ended up joining us because they had their typical Saturday write date.  I'll let them discuss their own experiences. Kangoo is a class done on Kangoo Jump shoes.  Imagine if you will being in something that looks like a rollerblade with a special type of springing mechanism at the bottom.  I put them on and began to move around.  After a few minutes I began to channel my inner Inspector Gadget and began to get more daring.   Bouncing higher, moving to one foot and running. Once everyone had their shoes on Mario the instructor began the explanations.  The Kangoo is the lowest impact shoe.  The shoes seem awkward to move on but after a few moments they feel natural.  Even one footed jumping reduces a significant amount of pressure on the joints.  Because of that you can do some higher impact movements. To describe the class it has the intensity of the new generation of step classes.  Which incorporates the basic steps with a dance feel.  At one point we were bouncing out the Macarena and another dance that I am not familiar with.  He even allowed time right before the cool down for some freestyling.  Great class considering it's not usually my style but I will do it again.  My nod to the instructor Mario who was all smiles and high intensity all class. I kind of want a pair of my own Kangoo shoes so I can figure out some great plyometric workouts with them.   Look out for Killercadoogan's Kangoo Bootcamp.  Coming soon on DVD and BluRay.
