Not Feeling it today Went to EZ8. We did mile loops in a relay style. The woman in the back of the line would sprint to the front as we ran. I really wasn't feeling like it today, but I pushed through. I guess a bad workout day is better than no workout at all.

How do you do stadium hops? After missing EZ8 on Wednesday(my favorite day, hill day) because I was ill, I was back on track for my last EZ8 before the Capitol Hill Classic 3K. Today we did a mini fartlek with stairs. We would run up the stairs at the National Gallery of Art one at a time, then two at a time and finally hopping for a total of 6 times up the stairs.

I Chopped More than TWO MINUTES Off of My Timed Mile! Today was the second timed mile for EZ8. It's been four weeks and I started off with an 11 minute 23 second mile. My goal for the entire 8 week class was to get a 10 minute mile, now only half way through I can run a mile in 9 minutes and 12 seconds! I am elated, I can imagine myself one day running an 8 minute mile in the next few months.

Fartlek wasn't so bad this week Today we did fartlek in combination with jumping rope. It wasn't torture like last time. I know that the 3k won't be so bad now. Monday we have our timed mile to see how much we've progressed. I need to psych myself up for it. I MUST get to at least a 10 min mile. Wish me luck!

Running Hurts I actually didn't hate myself this morning. It was pretty easy to get up even though I was out til about 9:30 at the climbing gym.

Still can't run a 3k Today we did a combination of running, crab walks and stairs for EZ8. I didn't keep track of how far I ran today, but I think it was around 3 miles plus crab walking and stairs. My mom hit a milestone today, she ran a maile straight without stopping.
