I'm Pretty Sure "X-TREME!!!" Products Went Out at the End of the Last Century, but I'll Give This a Shot Anway. So I worked out like, a lot yesterday. 3 and 1/2 hours spread out over the course of the day. An hour of P90X in the morning before work, 30 minutes of walking around my office building on my morning and afternoon breaks, 30 minutes of intervals at the gym after work and 90 minutes of hot yoga after the intervals.
Hot Yoga Plus I Knocked Out the Dips Feat Did my last 3 sets of dips before I did an hour of hot yoga. Headstand has gotten really easy for me so my Friday night teacher is going to show me some other headstand variants because apparently there's like 7 different ways to do a headstand. This should be interesting... :o)

Hot Yoga Plus I Completed My DIY Feat!!! During hot yoga tonight, I managed to perform and hold Crow for 30+ seconds. It was amazing. I found my balance and just kind of stayed there for what seemed like forever, but was really probably around 45 seconds and I wouldn't be surprised if it went as long as a minute.
Bis, Tris and Hot Yoga Title describes it all. Managed to knock out 3 sets of 10 unassisted dips to take me up to 4 for the feat. Ignore the count of 11 that's currently on there, I entered them incorrectly the first time. That's pretty much it. For whatever reason, I'm completely exhausted right now so I think I'm going to bed.
Basketball & Some More Pull-up Progress Today after church, me and a friend of mine took a couple of the neighborhood kids my church works with to the Y to play a little basketball. It ended up being more of a 2 hour shootaround, but we had fun. I haven't played any serious basketball in the almost 14 years since my last high school game. Man, was I rusty.
More Yoga Breakthroughs, D.I.Y. Feral Feat(s) and Pull-ups (NOW WITH VIDEO OF ONE OF MY DIY FEATS BEING ACHIEVED!) So I had a great session of hot yoga tonight.
Matty G Fresh Did a Headstand at Hot Yoga Tonight?! Wha?! Yup, totally did. It was next to the wall to at least see what it felt like, but I managed to pull my feet away from the wall and hold it completely self-supported for probably around 10 seconds on 3 or 4 different attempts. There were several way more lithe and flexible people in class tonight who were totally jealous of me, I'm sure.

Yoga Breakthroughs The continuing adventures of this week's "Featured Body," Matty_G_Fresh. When he's not making videos about locker room etiquette or singing about his diet, he's achieving personal yoga greatness... So do you ever have one of those yoga sessions where you might have a particular pose that you've struggled with and struggled with and struggled with when all of a sudden you're just able to do it perfectly? I had that happen to me last night on FOUR different moves. I think I mentioned a few post ago about how I finally managed to get into Crow and hold it for like 3 or 4 seconds. Well that was with a bolster/safety net in place to keep me from hurting myself. Last night, without a bolster I got into Crow and held it for close to 10 seconds and I wasn't really struggling to hold it either. Small movements of my palms and fingers were all I needed to keep it in place. It was a weird, but awesome feeling. Who knows? Maybe in a few months I'll be working on Side Crow or even a handstand?
Hot Yoga and Thinking About the Love Challenge Feats So I took an hour long Hot Vinyasa (I think it was Vinyasa anyway; I still kind of suck at telling the differences between yoga styles) Yoga class tonight after work. It was kind of a mixed bag.
Bis and Tris and Yoga; Oh Mys! So this week I'm starting more targeted weight training, ie, working just a couple of muscle groups at a time instead of doing full upper body workouts and yoga all the time. Today I did 30 minutes of biceps and triceps. Nothing too strenuous as I got to the gym late and wasn't able to take the time I wanted to before hot yoga, but it was still a decent workout.
The One Where I Wish I Could Afford a Massage Therapist So I did weights and hot yoga again last night. Good workouts both. My flexibility is improving a lot. I was able to do Camel pose which I've never done before and it feels like I may have been even closer to succeeding with a side angle bind.

Hot Yoga I found another Y based hot yoga class to take on Fridays so now I am able to go twice a week. This class was only an hour and seemed to be of the flow variety. I liked it quite a bit, plus there were fewer people in the class so there was more room to really get nice stretches in without worrying about knocking into other people.

PHENOMENAL HOT YOGA TURNOUT!!!...Itty Bitty Studio Space. As I'm sure everyone else on SW experienced, there was a definite upswing in class participation today.
Bad Eating + Hot Yoga = Blearghy Workout Yeah, so the department where I work is buried under 20+ lbs. of really good chocolates, plus numerous other goodies sent to us by the attorneys that we work with. Not. Good.
