That looks like a lot of fun. Alas, I'll be celebrating the coming of 2010 way before you. Can't make it to New York, I'm afraid. I guess this feat will have to be done around my itty-bitty town in Australia....

Can we subsitute another festive holiday run? Because a) I don't live in NYC and b) even if I did I would be on a plane at midnight on NYE!!

ahhhh, wanna hear something funny? so until i read this feat in detail, i understood it to mean "just make your own fun run at midnight!"..probably because i don't live in New York, so i wasn't even aware of this particular run. Heck i was just planning to head outdoors down the street on New Years with some friends for a fun run of our own :)

Here's a better web site for the Brooklyn Run http://www.slopesports.com/fun-run08.html A good thing about it is that it ends at midnight rather than starts then, so you can enjoy the fireworks. That is one of the things I dislike about the Central Park run. It's cheaper too,
