Yay Thursday! I finished teaching for the semester so I can go to Tuesday/Thursday classes now! Today I went to Carl H's chisel class. I really enjoyed it but it was soooo packed and I don't think it was as hard as Karen's chisel, but maybe that's b/c I've gotten so strong in two weeks (joke). I also wussed out on the weights- next time I'll get there earlier so I can get something above 5 lb.
Behind the times I took the past week off of working out. I didn't do it intentionally...my hot pink bag of gym fun was with me each and every day...but the week was insane, I couldn't get my head above water and try as killercadoogan might to convince me to squeeze in a quick 15 minutes in between meetings, it just didn't come together. So, you may be asking yourself, why are you posting a workout?
WARNING: What happens in VEGAS stays on the internet! I wanted to really work hard today to cancel out all the damage I'm about to do to my body in VEGAS starting tmrw.....but alas, I could only fit in one hour of chisel class. one hour of lifting is pretty reputable though- why must be so die hard every day? ADDICTION! I wanted to do cardio and bikrim and chisel....ummm yeah the four hours of exercise - not realistic.
Fo' Chisel - #45 Yesterday, I went to Macy's. I HATE Macy's. Outside of Times Square I think it's the worst part of New York. So many people, so many escalators, so few directories. It makes me want to pull out my hair, strand by strand. Still, I needed a dress (which I bought, but might return. UGH another tip to Macy's) and a girl's got to do what a girl's got to do.
I'm so proud of myself I went for a whole week without spending a penny. It pretty much only worked because I'm living at home and don't have that many expenses. But regardless, it feels great to know that I can do that.
sweating to my oldie! finally! group fitness! revisiting this for the first time is almost as good as seeing PHANTOM again for the first time! I went to Chisel with Carl H on Laf. It was funny because I've been working out at Union Sq since the crutches since it is the closest and everyone there is used to my crutching over. At Laf, all the trainers and instructors did double takes.
digging for records Saturday Location Lafayette treadmill 3 mile run 20 mins. abs and stretch with my gym partan. 20 min break "walked my friend to the train and went to the bank" back to the gym. Carl Saturday classes extravaganza.. 30 mins abs, 1hr sculpt. woop woop.. Intennseee!..
kept going Get to the gym by 10am. Get on the treadmill, slam 1 mile under 10 mins. rush to shower and head to a rehearsal meeting. Once I m done with that go back to the gym "by this time I feel drained" and take Carls abs and sculpt class.
Tougher workout prevails I spent all morning deliberating what to do today (until 3:30 pm to be exact). I did not want to go to my regular spots (Central Park, Bryant Park, Union Sq.) because I knew they would be packed. I wanted to get a workout in, but the last classes in Brooklyn were before 12 because of the holiday schedule.
sharing the fitness I shared the fitness with one of my best friends from childhood who is in town visiting me from DC right now. Got her a guest pass and we crunched it up at Carl's Chisel and then Ride. He was awsome as always in both classes and then we did a little light stretching together... Kinda amazing. She wishes she lived here so she could join :)
Thursday: Hangover free and workin' it! Did the usual Thursday routine of Chisel with Carl followed immediately by Hip Hop with Marc. Carl did switched it up a bit and did an amazing about of abs, butts, and thighs which was hot. Marc had a special guest lady teaching have of the routine. Both classes are always amazing but today were particularly spectacular.
lets try this again Saturday workout.. Carls sculpt and ab class.
3 hours of fitness with Sassletics82 So Sass and I met up for the usual Carl chisel at crunch-Lafayette and then afterwards it was so beautiful outside we decided to go for a walk. We literally walked for 2 hours! From crunch all through lower manhattan, from teh lower east side, to chinatown, through all the courts, then back up through little Italy and then back to my hood (the east village). It was pretty awesome.
...and back to the gym So after yesterdays less than traditional workout I pulled a double in the gym today. Chisel with Carl at Lafayette and then Hip Hop with Marc directly following it. They are both awesome classes, hence my weekly standards. Never disappointing, always amazing.
flocking fans if you want to take carl's chisel and then spin at crunch union sq on saturdays, you better show up an hour early and wait on line. it's like buying concert tickets before the internet. he added a bonus 15 mins to the spin class yesterday- great day to forget my inhaler. 1 hr chisel 1 hr spin LOTS of SWEAT and ruddy faces.
