Bikram Overheards I have quite a few but one of my favorite overheards happened after I took my friends Anthony & Nicholas to Bikram Yoga for the 1st time about a month ago. They really enjoyed the class & did a very good job in class. Afterward we went to dinner...

Oh! Oh! I want the weird finger toe-glove shoe things....! I went to Bikram today. It was awesome because it's getting easier to touch my toes. Plus, I left my credit card there and therefore have to go back tomorrow. (See my 180 already.) I feel like people in relationships have an unfair advantage because they can just get it on all wknd and mlog it. Can we have a single equivalent to vigorous sex?
I will not relent until I'm truly spent...... Here is my dabbling into poetry for the HMSP:)
I was finally able to do cardio @ the gym again:) I know i dont blog much -its inspiring to me that do many of you do. I just cant seem to find the time. As the only time I have is on the subway when i journal. Just felt like it tonight .....who needs sleep :) I'm finally able to go back to the gym !
First Bikram Class Needed a good sweat. Loved it. Intense but not in a competitive way. You vs. you. Good stuff.
Rusty Doesn't Even Come Close It's been two weeks since I last set foot in Bikram. It felt like it had been two years. Ugh.
Hot Yoga Dude, yoga in hundred and something degree heat. I could never imagine myself voluntarily sitting in a room that hot. But I did it. Class with good friend at Bikram Yoga East Harlem run by my friend's awesome family.
Me and sprints: an awkward first date I've been trying to increase both my speed and endurance by working through a six-week running program I found on line. Today's schedule: run ten minutes, then for the next 35 minutes run 3 minutes, sprint 1 minute, and walk one minute. Well, I think it was too much for me to both do sprints (ouch my lungs) and run for the first time without music. I made it for 25 of the 35 m
Bikram + running = elusive exercise satisfaction 9 a.m. Bikram and a four-mile run. What else can I say? Getting there with my fitness goals and it feels GOOD!!
Bikram + walk Good Bikram class and a wonderful 6-mile walk to the fish market.
6:15 a.m. Bikram and strength in my office Credit to my fiance for encouraging me to get out of bed at 5:30 this morning to get to Bikram class. And credit to teacher Megan, who actually got the room hot at that early hour. My practice has really suffered since I started running again and doing strength. And my tolerance for the heat isn't what it used to be. Anyhow, Megan is a great teacher, and as usual, it fel
Training and Bikram Did an early morning Bikram class before my workstudy shift. Then I did a training session with Travis. Lots of fun. Definitely exhausted.
BIkram 3 of 30 Day 3 of the re-started 30-day challenge was today. Walked to and from the studio as always. May or may not take on cardio today. Will definitely take it on this Sunday.
bikram yoga takes on the common cold (day 4) yesterday afternoon sometime I developed a cold and by this morning it was pretty bad. decided to go to yoga anyway and just not touch anyone. it was surprisingly good. I didn't sneeze once, my head felt a little wonky and I got dizzy easier and my energy was low, but I was still able to do *most* of the poses. when i got out, however, it was seriously nap time. I
sweaty yoga, dia tres third day of bikram. no motivation this morning. none. woke up with a stomachache, exhausted, with a sore throat. thought "who am I kidding, I'm not someone that does this kind of intense workout". then I thought "that may not be who I was, but I'm still deciding who I am, and today I am a girl what goes to yoga." so I did, and it was AWESOME.
sweaty yoga, day 2 so crowded today, made it even hotter. was dehydrated again and got a headache. felt stronger though. back tomorrow.
bikram yoga sucks so I'm going to do it every day started doing bikram yoga today. I'm way too fat for this shit. the teacher was fantastic though. I showed up, said I'd only done this once before, and she said "the only rules are stay in the room and keep breathing, do you think you can do that?" I could and I did. the hardest part was just walking through that door. I'll be back tomorrow.
