Montana has been in the news for its crazy weather in recent days. (Al Roker was here. Not terribly exciting, but noteworthy for these parts.) Indeed ,we've been struck with tornadoes, golfball sized hail, floods, lightning etc etc. Somehow, attention to weather escaped me as I set out on a long run yesterday evening. I like that I can log a 10 minute session of circuit training even though I wouldn't blog a workout about it.
This post is about my run today on the treadmill with Rolene. 30 minutes, 20 minutes of running, the last 2.5 minutes of which we busted it out.
I ate a cupcake and feel pretty good about that. I had enough calories left.
I ran on the treadmill for 18 minutes (+5 minutes warm up +4 minutes cool down). It was fine. Easier to do with a crowd on the go.
Then I dashed to my yoga class. Christine is trying to teach us a routine so we can practise solo. We spent a lot of time on sun salutations a + b. (90 minutes)
Today was ueber-stressful.
I had a great lifting/toning session this morning. I am slowly getting better at push-ups, and I was able to up my weights on several exercises. There might even be a teensy-weensy bit of ab definition starting to show.
I just ran a 6 minute mile?! WHAT WHAT!
It was hot. I had our Disney CoolMax kerchiefs in the freezer but forgot about them when the time came to get dressed. We covered 4 miles.
We added the extra mile for minutes.
Ro and I started earlier today at 3. It was supposed to be our first treadmill workout of the season but it was windy so we went back outside.
We did the usual set of intervals, no pee breaks, 55 minutes.
I barely rememeber this workout, so here goes.
Rolene and I went on campus at 4 ish. We did the usual interval system with a bathroom break and 4.2 km took 53 minutes.
Nothing exciting to report. It had rained earlier but all that coolness was over by 4.
