Marion's class today at Ride the Zone in East Hampton was awesome. All the sweaty bodies were packed in the studio; following her energetic lead. She has a way with words when she's on that bike. In the middle of our climb she said, "We all have something going on: maybe a rough Friday night, a struggle in a relationship, or something that you just can't fix.

Tracy Anderson's ALS Benefit Bootcamp

This Saturday, should you find yourself in the Hamptons, you can get in a three-hour bootcamp with Tracy Anderson, or a 90-minute spin class with Marion Roaman of Ride the Zone, or a yoga class with Jessica Bellofatto of KamaDeva Yoga. If you still have energy after all that, there's also a tennis tournament. This extravaganza of toning and exertion is all part of Hopes4ALS, a fundraiser for Project A.L.S. a non-profit working to find treatments and cures for A.L.S. Tickets are $300. Should you prefer to simply gawk at Tracy Anderson and the celebs major and minor who will likely turn out for the event, spectator tickets are $100. Juice bar, food, and wine included. Blonde Moments in Fitness

Kaitlyn said if I made it to Marion's class at Ride the Zone every Tuesday I was in town for the rest of the summer, she would give me a big prize. So of course I was there, at exactly 9am, without the aid of Kaitlyn or Sass, thank you very much. Now for today's Blonde Moment in Fitness: A few weeks ago, I bought fancy spin shoes and I was so excited to try them out this morning. The class had just started when I arrived, but I couldn't figure out the buckle release thingy to get it on my foot. Total coordination meltdown. So I threw down the $3 to rent a pair of spin shoes rather than waste 10 minutes on the shoe, or worse, walk in barefoot, waving a spin shoe around, shrieking over Beyoncé, "Excuse me! Can anyone unbuckle my shoe?"

Real Ryderz Keep My Ego in Check!

I am pretty fit in general.  I have no problems in my cardio, bootcamp, rebounding, or yoga -type classes.

BUT I started spinning....it's like a new language for my muscles!

Ride The Zone <-- Please help......

So I won the thirty classes from SW at RTZ.  I am DYING to fall in love with spin.  I have taken a few classes in my time but it never stuck.

Any thoughts on Natalie's CYKO ZONE class?  (as a first class at RTZ)

I really can't describe the energy today at Ride the Zone in East Hampton. You truly would've had to been in today's 10:30 team zone with Marion and Carrie to really appreciate the unbelievable vibe that touched everyone in the community.

What I ate today: 1/2 cup fiber one with 3/4 of a cup mixed berries and 1/2 cup low fat yogurt, approx 20 oz glass of water mixed with Lakewood Cranberry juice,

c'mon and dance right now.....

After a great warm up, Marion blasted " c'mon and dance right now" racing out of the saddle... which lit the spin room up with fluorescent energy. We raced intensly right into "California Girls" on a building climb. From there we climbed a big hill to "Airplane". And then the upper body stuff began: switch backs(holding deep to reach into lats and obliques) then 50 arm pulses on each arm.
