Free Olympic Yoga, Wii Netflix, and British DVD Stars

Cardio Dance Party With Mom!
It is raining in Connecticut today so our scheduled hike and trip to the beach gave way to indoor activity. It turns out that Netflix has a variety of fitness videos to choose from so we went with a Salsa dance video and a Dance Party (salsa, funk, and disco) video.

Working that Netflix Account
Downloaded a Crunch video on Netflix. (Crunch: Super SlimDown) I was wanting a little more traditional yoga but this was a good workout. I was sweating by the time I was done..that's usually a good sign.
Went outside and did 3 hours of yardwork over the course..my body was screaming at bedtime!

Since I always complain about work, I'm going to NOT complain about work in this post. I'll just say that today was surprisingly not too bad (aside from not going to bed until 3am and being the only one in the office for a couple of busy hours in the morning, but I'm not complaining!), and it ended with cake so WOOHOO! Yay work!

Pick Your Level Weight Loss Pilates
Rocked it with Ellen Barrett again. The video was good, but a little short. (only 30 minutes). And it was one of those where there are three workout levels, each demonstrated by a different person on a different platform. Ellen was intermediate, and I mostly stuck with her.

My love of Ellen Barrett continues. Did her Crunch: Burn and Firm Pilates workout video on Wednesday. (oops, slow to blog it). Great workout. I was totally feeling the burning and firming in action. Got me so jazzed that I went online and ordered a bunch of her new videos. They just arrived in the mail yesterday! The "Yogini Workout" and I are most definitely on for this afternoon.

Fitness Follow-through Disorder (FFD)
I was not in the mood to do any exercise yesterday, but I hate to waste a day off. So I put on my workout clothes and sneakers and checked out my Netflix Instant for inspiration.

Pilates, why are you so difficult sometimes?!
I did the very basic, 30 minutes belly, butt and thigh pilates DVD on Thursday night. And I sucked at it. Like, hardcore. WTF?! I at least wasn't ridiculously sore the next couple of days but still... WTF?

I did another hour of yoga before bed last night. Twas good... but still not amazing... I need more challenge.

Pining for ballet bodies
I tried out NYC Ballet Workout from Netflix Instants. Although it wasn't the most intense workout ever, it had some great ab work, moved at a decent pace for 1 hr, and incorporated most muscle groups. And it made me feel pretty. Without a mirror to correct me, I felt as graceful as the extremely beautiful people on the screen.
