900,000 in Sight and the Final Sprint Bonus Program

One hundred and four days ago we began this journey. Please observe our progress on the graph above. Note that we are now nuzzling up to 900,000 minutes, and feel, deep in your bones, the inexorable momemtum of our trajectory. The Final Sprint is upon us!

Yes, you're just turning a long bend, and there in the distance is the fluttering banner of the finish line. Marching bands are tuning up around it, and fans have started to gather. There are picnic tables, and glittering swimming holes, and the smell of bar-b-ques in the air (naturally with raw, vegan alternatives)..... It's been a long trip, and perhaps you are groggy. Well, if so, now is the time when your head starts to clear. To help that process, we bring you the Final Sprint Bonus Program. We aim to finish strong, and should you care to participate, you will be in the running to win a full gear and wardrobe makeover at Jack Rabbit Sports, one of our nation's top sporting goods outlets. Phat!

Saluting the Daily Hour at 850K

Mloggers, on Day 96 of the MMM we quietly pass 850,000 minutes. It's time to salute all those challengers who have logged an average of one hour a day of activity, for the last 96 days. This is a group nearly 40 strong. (Above we give you just those who have logged almost exactly an hour a day). Bravo to the Hour a Day Club!

And now a deep thought: We all have lousy memories. When we are sleep deprived and out of shape, we forget how much better it feels to be strong. When we are in shape, we sometimes forget how tenuous the situation. Challenging ourselves means not just doing something, but also varying what it is that we do. It means trying to stay, as much as possible, in that first state of awareness and gratitude, and so it requires constantly seeking new limits, accepting new kinds of pain, and researching new kinds of calm.

Bikram Overheards

I have quite a few but one of my favorite overheards happened after I took my friends Anthony & Nicholas to Bikram Yoga for the 1st time about a month ago. They really enjoyed the class & did a very good job in class.

Afterward we went to dinner...
