last run for a few weeks
So I went for my normal run tonight and I am now positive I have tendonitis and need to give my legs a rest so that they may heal.
I'm going to do yoga and spinning - barring no pain is experienced from either activity.
I hope I'll heal quickly and get back to running - it sucks that I just feel like I was gaining speed and stamina when I have to take a break. wah.

Warning: This picture is not for the faint of heart.
One of my New Year's resolutions for 2010 was to be injury-free for a whole year. That lasted, oh, 32 hours.

Five miles without hurting my knee!
After my disastrous ten mile run on Monday (the day after which I spent hobbling down subway stairs because I couldn't bend my left knee), I thought I was a lost cause. I ran only a little under 2 miles yesterday before I had to quit due to knee twinges... Today was a new day, though, and my five beautiful miles in Central Park felt great.

Knee injury threatening to sideline me. HELP!!
I have had knee problems for over half my life. When I was 12, I tried to get up from a cross-legged position without using my hands. There was a loud rip and lots of pain, followed by about 6 weeks on crutches and 5 years of pretty intense pain.

So I haven't been posting much lately because for some reason my lower back is in spasm. This seems to happen to me every six months or so. Not sure what triggered it this time -- might have just been the weekend of yoga and dancing, or maybe it was all the time in the car.

Tuesday Night Special
New office (!!!) is less than half a block from Virayoga. After our first team meeting in new office (!!!), I made my way to Susanna Hardwood Rubins anusara class. It was a lovely evening, with just six or seven us in the big room with the ceiling fans and gleaming hardwood floors.
